2-Book I'm reading

I was never a Duke fan, even though Christian Laettner grew up in my small town and his mom was my third grade teacher. I was, however, a Mike Krzyzewski fan. Coach K. was the best and he was a class act on and off the court. His book, "Leading With The Heart", is not just a memoir, but life lessons and strategies that can be applied in your PE class. It's about how he engaged, encouraged, and pushed his teams to greatness. There are plenty of gems in this book.Check it out!

3-Documentary to check out

I love watching sports documentaries that take you inside the training, dedication and behind the scenes drama you might never see. I recently watched "Faceoff: Inside the NHL" on Amazon Prime. It follows players from last season, shows the rivalries, the friendships, the triumphs and heartbreaks. It got me ready to go for this season! Definitely a great watch!

4-Awesome thing I've seen or heard

I know I've shared videos before about Kobe. I've even mentioned his name in this newsletter above! His work ethic was amazing and his talent backed it up. I've told this story to my students to pump them up (without the expletives!) You've got to see this!
